The first generations of dealers
Long before the current gallery opened, Alexia’s father was already a dealer at the Saint-Ouen Flea Market. From the 1950s through the 1970s, a taste for objects, materials and discovery became part of family life.
The opening
Alexia Say opens her gallery at Marché Biron, at the Saint-Ouen Flea Market. Five stands across aisles 1 and 2 — a home that has remained unchanged ever since.
A story passed down
Galerie Alexia Say continues a family tradition of dealers established at the Saint-Ouen Flea Market since the post-war years. Heritage, a discerning eye and a passion for objects remain at the heart of the gallery.
René Lalique and the art of glass
Art Nouveau and Art Deco glass take centre stage — Lalique, Daum and Gallé. An eye trained to recognise material, signature and period.
From glass to twentieth-century design
Over the years, the gallery expands into twentieth-century design with Knoll, French silverware with Christofle and Puiforcat, French art glass with Daum, Gallé and Baccarat, and Hermès tableware.
CNES trainee expert
Alexia provides appraisals and valuations for insurance, estates and private sales. At the gallery, expertise remains inseparable from meeting people, understanding the history of an object and the pleasure of passing it on.
